Furniture Maker Relocates to Conover
Published May 09, 2008

Furniture maker Wentworth Furniture plans to invest $2 million and hire 20-80 people in the city of Conover, the Hickory Daily Record reported in early May.

The high-end furniture company based in Pompano Beach, Fla. has purchased a 54,000-square-foot building. It plans to be in full production by September. The company cited a skilled, furniture-making workforce and the low cost of doing business in the region as key factors behind its move.
